Fittleworth Food Angels

Food Angels is a scheme aimed to provide a helping hand to those who need it during the current COVID-19 global crisis.  Under the scheme weekly food boxes are provided to those who are otherwise struggling to feed themselves or their families.

Food Angels does not replace the vital work of local food banks or government support agencies.  It is there to provide extra support to those in need and is open to all, whether its a temporary urgent need or longer term support.   The impact of the COVID-19 crisis has been extensive, with many of the population losing their job, furloughed or otherwise struggling to find work or access existing government support.  Food Angels provides immediate and local support to those living in Fittleworth or the surrounding hamlets.

If you would like to find out more or if you feel you would benefit from receiving a weekly food box please email

The scheme is financed by donations from local residents.

Trussell Trust Foodbank

We have a donations box within the Store where we collect food donations for the Trussell Trust.  The Trussell Trust is a nationwide network of food banks which provides emergency food and support to those in our local area.

There is a list by the donations box of items currently requested by the food bank.
